BATDU I Agree it appears to be
Beam Approach Training Development Unit
BAS = Beam Approach School
AOS = Air Observers School
SPTU = Staff Pilots Training Unit
SFC = School Of Flying Control
FIS = Flying Instructors School
OAFU = Observers Advanced Flying Unit
