It's an odd question, but is the plane mark IX spitfire MJ730 the plane known as 'The CO's Query'? If it is, my grandfather, Alan Oates was a pilot who flew it. We saw the plane a couple of times since the war, once at the 1999 Duxford airshow. We are interested in hearing about the plane, since it moved to America if you could send me some info, I would be very grateful.
