I?m taking a trip the good ole US of A from the United Kingdom for the Corsair Gathering at Indianapolis, and plan on visiting some aviation museums while I?m in the area.
I?ve got a guide book by a guy called Michael A Blaugher who?s based at Fort Wayne, Indiana that lists around 900 museums around the USA and Canada including the Air Classics Museum of Aviation.
Can anybody tell me anything about this museum? What aircraft are based there? Whether there are any warbirds? I?ve got an idea that the museum is based at Aurora Municipal Airport and could be where Michael Keenum keeps his airworthy F-86 Sabre, but I?m not sure. Any advice or information about this museum would be gratefully received.
One other thing. Does anybody here know who I need to contact or how I go about visiting Chuck Greenhill?s hangar at Kenosha. I?m assuming he?s based at Kenosha Municipal Airport, Wisconsin. Being a Brit I?m particularly interested in his rebuild/reconstruction, whatever you wish to call it, of Sea Fury T.20, WG655 registered N20MD. I?d love to get some photos of it, plus of course his new P-51.
Cheers
