The EAA, CAF, etc. don't get involved in this argument because they don't care. Those organizations want to be INCLUSIVE. That's why they include L-Birds and trainers in their ranks. More members means more influence- with the FAA, the military, and with politicians. The money brought in from having more members allows them to lobby for things pro-warbird.

The answer to your question is rhetorical. The answer depends on your point of view. What possible benefit would it be for these organizations to publish a position on this subject? All it would serve to do is to piss off a portion of the membership, which is counterproductive. You can see what affect all these opinions have on this board... While this board is probably a good place to gather opinions from spectators, you may note the decided lack of aircraft owners and operators (although there are a few). Most spend their time working on aircraft, not in front of a keyboard. I'm here because I have a regular 7:00 AM - 6:00 PM job and only get a chance to work on my projects on Saturday. If I lived in my hangar I sure wouldn't spend so much time on the net...
