At what point is it impossable to aquire "new" 60 year old parts. If the plane is to continue to fly new technology and parts need to replace the original. The airplane might have started out in it's life 60 years ago, but if it were not for "new" parts it is most likly the only old planes left would all be in museums. It is better to sit and watch the restored aircraft, no matter what the data plate has to say, fly in our 21st century sky. Then sit and take issue with why. Remember these old birds were only given a life expectancy of a few months and here we are 60 years later. We are truly honored to have the people with the funds to keep them flying in the first place.
