I hope that there are still airframes out there, especially in the many small lakes that abound in the area but in the '60's and '70's there was a large scrapping effort in Finland, I don't know if this extended as far north as Rovaniemi but if the Finnish museum went to the trouble of recovering a 'Mersu' from the sea recently they must have good reasons for doing so. One of my Finnish friends has told me that there is little to be had on the surface but that does not mean that there are none in the lakes or very remote regions, Tony's comment about the forestry commision sounds like the most logical thing to follow up.
