Being about 75% Mustang-illiterate, I wasn't real sure that I'd ever seen an A-36 painted like "The Flying Undertaker" in actual WWII documentation, I'm glad you brought it up. It is puzzling, though, considering there's lots of other attractive and interesting schemes to choose from...
