Glad you liked it Scot!!

I thought it was excellent and the jumpiness is artistic IMHO!!! I loved the touches that you get with Czech films (such as the balloon in the rafters). I have probably bored you with the story before but the film budget for DBW but it was less than the budget with the launch party for Pearl Harbour (allegedly!!). The plot was also alot more believeable/down to earth in DBW. Although I liked Pearl Harbour (for the excellent flying etc) it was a bit corny, predictable and I found it amazing that two US pilots did so well shooting down the Japanese aggressors. Also did not like the poetic license taken in moving the Battle of Britain from 1940 to 1941/2!

My posting is not getting at the US or its pilots/vets, just a bit of disappointment at Hollywood portrayl of the events and the 'also rans'. At least 3 US pilots flew in the Battle of Britain as volunteers...extremely brave pilots. One particular chap, Billy Fiske was in 601 Sqn, paid the ultimate price.

many regards

: Just watched Dark Blue World (was pleasantly surprised tha

: you can never see too much Spitfire footage. And I must s

: ry was a little disjointed and obviously the editor has ne

: have to revamp the Czech aviation section.
