Dear all,
Is this the Me109E-1 which has been found near L?on (Spain) by Robert Lamplough in 1983?
If this Me109 is the one that I mean then this plane has been used by the Conder Legion as 6-88 an later by the Spanish Airforce as C.4E-88. On show in the Tangmere Aviation Museum for some time, now under restoration at Hungerford/Bed.
For the restoration "they" (?) will use a landing gear from a Pilatus P-2 (G-BJAX), former U-108 - Swiss Airforce. -As anybody may knows the P2 uses the Me109E landing gear from the former Swiss Airforce Me109Es.
Any idees who is restoring this Me109E-1? Which Werknummerhas this Me109E-1? And how is the present status of the restoration?
regrads Olivier
PS sorry for the two posts before.
