Hi James, my tinbashing isn't quite up to the standard to require the wheeling of skins, I need a wheeling machine ;) Steve Moon and another gent made all the cowlings, I'm just getting them all to fit and riveting them on. I'm told Kermit hasn't been over to see progress for a couple of years but I understand that he is very enthusiastic about EJ693 although he doesn't 'chase' us thankfully. The wings are from an ex IAF MKII as are the remains of the horizontal tailplanes which need lots of work to get them looking anything like how they should. My tinbashing is improving though, I made up the top hat sections for the lower front side skins which tried my patience somewhat but left me feeling quite happy with myself when they fitted a treat. Once the skins and cowlings are all fitting fine the big job of restoring the fuselage can begin which will mean stripping everything unfortunately as Nick Grace was only finishing the aircraft to static status which means we will have to re-work everything.
Tom ;)
