Basically it goes as stated is some of the others, although the RAF and commonwealth air forces called them tomahawks and Kittyhawks, never Warhawks.

BAsically for commonwealth air forces it goes like this

Tomahawk I (H-81A)
Tomahawk IIa (H-81A-1)
Tomahawk IIb (H-81A-2 and A-3)
Kittyhawk I (H-87A-2)
Kittyhawk Ia (P-40E-1)
Kittyhawk II (P-40F's)
Kittyhawk IIa (P-40L)
Kittyhawk III (P-40K and M)
Kittyhawk IV (P-40N all models)

The US stuff is as stated in one of the other e-mails here except that the P-40E-1 was quite often known as Kittyhawk in US service
