Hi John,
I live in the DC area, and would be happy to help you if you wish. One thing for certain is that you need to call the Garber facility in advance to arrange a tour. The tours are run once a day at a set time, and run for about 3 hours.

PS. If you go to Garber, ask about a guy named Bill Sergi. He 's a good friend of mine and volunteers there. Back in '42 he was aboard the Yorktown for Corral Sea and Midway... he got a little wet on the last one! Anyway, he's one of the guys who went back to Midway with Bob Ballard... he has some great stories about each trip.
