The service will be held this Wednesday 28/05/02 at Leicester Cemetery Groby Road at 09.45 and will be for half an hour. I know certain people have expressed an interest in attending, and you are welcome, according to Mrs. Mick.
In keeping with the way Mick lived his life, there will be no overt religious expression, but, there will be an enourmous drink to be had afterwards at the "Princess Charlotte" between 12 and 2
Mick and Claire met, when they were both Punk rockers, and the days activities will reflect that, as it was Micks last wish
I only wish there could have been more time, as i would definately have liked to organise a flypast. So, if anyone is air-testing on the day, we'd like your run-in along Groby Road, and overhead at 10.15/10.19 if at all possible, it would be a truly wonderful thing
I now know more details of Micks' passing, I won't go into great detail, but suffice to say, metaphorically speaking, he was "On his feet and going forward" and I wouldn't have expected anything less from him
As regards tribute contributions, I hope you understand, if i delay mine until Thursday
The Spitfire XIX Mick refereed to, was the one belonging to the BBMF, but he was very pleased at the look of Steve's as well :0)
