True, both were not regular flyers, but, they were flyers, and sound enough to be able to make the ferry flight across the Atlantic.....if I remember both trips were written up for very early editions of Warbirds Worldwide. I remember RS712's appearance at the Biggin Hill Air Fair just before her departure across the pond......I remember that I still couldnt believe that no group from the UK bought her.
Same goes for the Sunderland which went the same way...although flying boat operations are somewhat more practical in the USA than over here, so that was the best bet for her continued survival....but has she flown since????
