and of cause they have been promiced a referendum and no UK gov of any colour is going to ignore that promice. They would get slaughtered in thye press. Can you imagine the packs dogs of trhe Sun on that.. Selling out British people and all that.
Of course the Spanish gov think it is OK to ignore the wishes of the locals and they do not want them to have a referedum how democrtatic is that?. They know of course the locals will vote about 99.99 % against going to Spain so they do not want them even asked!
Then of course asking the people what they want is not our European cousins way or else they would have had referendums in all countries about the Euro. But don't get me on that!
