Sounds like you have it a little easier than on this side of the pond. In Canada they stated that it children were invovled then the radiation count could be no more than the background count. As such the Air Cadets have had to remove and either replace or have the original instruments sent out to have the Radium removed. I am involved in a Spitfire Restoration and we are looking at the same thing ref our insturments either replace or pay to have radium removed. The rules are getting tighter and tighter.
