Hi Rob,
I'm not an insider but you have to consider the following as contributing factors: David Price's business problems, including the problems he has had trying to merge two Golf companies and the conflict of interest charges that are presently being mentioned with that situation, the companies' money losing status, Price's recent divorce... Sept 11 and the downturn in the US tourism industry that has seen the museum pull back to weekend only hours. Price has propped this thing up from the beginning 13 years ago and it probably has never made a lot of money . Saw in Pacific Flyer that it's possible all the airplanes will end up at Mojave for the time being and perhaps being open for viewing there... However everything is for sale and I don't expect to see Price in the warbird world much longer, But we used to say that about Tallichet when he was having business problems and he is still flying around in that B-17. It's a shame too, with that excellent Shafter warbirds show and next week's Chino, how amazing would it be to have the 109 attending these shows?
