From Mr. Fernando Parodi, in Brazil, I have received the following:
I've made a phone calling to Ian Comber of EducTAM
Foundation, and he told me that Friday, on the last week, the Spitfire made its first flight after the reinstallation of the propeller and pitch/constant speed control equipment.
As Ian stated... this event caused much confusion on the
highway near to the small airfield where she is based.
Unfortunately he wasn't able to find me at home for taking
some shots.
The aircraft will take off on the next Wednesday (May 15th) for taking part on the celebration of the 50th anniversary of Smoke Squadron (she will be escorted by a T-27 from EDA).
Also, regarding the Bf-109, she is indeed a Messerschmidt
bird, a G-2 model, and still hasn't leave Germany.
The Corsair, althought flyable, is stored at TAM Airlines
Headquarter's main hangar. It stays at Congonhas
International Airport, the busiest Brazilian airport.
The aircraft will not be allowed to leave that place flying on its own, because Brazilian civil aviation authorities can't stop all activities of the just for fast run trials on its runaways.
She probably will leave that place on a special flatbed truck.
Saludos,
Fernando Parodi
