Hi all,
And now something completely different!
Mostly on this forum the warbirds from WWII are discussed but I was wondering if there is any activity regarding the aircraft from the "Great War 1914-1918".
I recently read somewhere that there are more WW I crashsites in Belgium and France then WW II ones. I only ever saw the remains of a Sopwith Camel or Pup at the Aviodome Museum many years ago. This wreckage among which was the rotary engine was recovered from France.
Most aircraft from that era were built of wood and fabric mostly leaving few metal wreckage apart from the engine, fueltank etc. But has there been any activitiy in Europe regarding these wrecks?
