Sorry Cees I just couldn't let that one go. I think you malign Steve and Airframe Assemblies - I've know Steve and many of the people there for some time, and as importantly have been witness to the projects they have been involved with over the years. They are frequently overlooked when projects are being reported as they are suppliers and manufacturers of parts and structures. As a writer covering this area, Steve often reminds me of this fact, but it's meant in good faith!

Steve and his team have worked hard to get the CAA authorisations to make the materials they supply certifiable. This is expensive. When dealing with anything that leaves the ground you can add significant funds. Most different to stuff that is glued to the ground.

Agreed, Steve supported (and gained from which was great) the old WW with advertising, but that doesn't make me feel obliged to say he is a good guy if he isn't!

Just bear in mind that making a living at warbird/vintage is a hard task - just like other occupations taxes and wages have to be paid. It adds to the cost of making and supplying parts!
