: Are there any hudsons left in North America, if so where?
According to the Warbirds Directory, there are three Hudsons in the US, and two in Canada (not including the one under water, and the Banting wreck).
In the US, as of 1996 there are the following:
Civilian Model B14L (N21771) (listed as an L18) in Santa Maria CA
A-29 41-23561 (RAF Mk.IIIA BW445) with Hawkins & Powers, Greybull, Wyoming
A-29A 41-37119 (RAF Mk.IIIA FH318) with Martin Rourke Aircraft Sales, Bartlesville, OK
In Canada, as of '96 there are the following:
A-28A 42-47022 (RAF Mk.VI FK466) at the Atlantic Canada Aviation Museum, Halifax, NS
A-29 41-23631 (RAF Mk. IIIA BW769) - former pole mounted example then at Gander, NFLD.
By the way, if you are interested on Antipodean Hudson survivors in the first issue of Classic Wings Downunder for this year. By the way, I cannot stress enough what a great magazine this is, and very reasonably priced too if ordered by mail especially. It very much fills the deep void left by the passing of WW.
Cheers,
Richard
