OOOHHHHH David!!!!

I'm glad you said that about Blue Peter....I get told off for saying things like that!!!!! ;-D

For some odd reason , I managed to see all the bits in the BBC Blue Peter childrens programme, and then again (twice!!)when all the bits were stuck together in one longer programme.....but of course you HAVE to watch childrens programmes when you are the one that looks after them after school!!

I remember them finding the remains buried up in the hills, and I thought then, that it would be very difficult to even restore it to static, so I was most surprised to hear that Peter Woods had bought it to replace his first Mk V Spitfire (serial?) airworthy restoration which got burnt in his workshop.

You've gotta dream David...but maybe even my dreams are not that far-fetched (?). I didn't know that about SX300, I don't remember it being reported anywhere, unlike the Mk V Spit fire....no pun intended. Very sad after waiting for years to see something done with it....but sadder for Peter by far, if he lost both Spitfire AND Seafire restorations in the fire.

Cheers
Mick
