I agree with the termite group. This is not a beautiful unrestored aircraft, this is a bondoed, pop riveted painted artifact. The amount of work to turn this into a flyer would be tremendous. It makes a good display, and represents her type, very rare at that, well. Its nice to see, but its not a "perfect unrestored aircraft" to a buyer or real restorer...
Look at the P-39 static article that was "restored" over a several year period and looked very smart on rollout in Santa Monica. Was this a restoration? Is this a real P-39 or a war relic suitable for a reflective display? The aircraft that was a P-39 was not restored to the air, only its appearance was restored. It really looked neat and you could tow it behind a Tug. Its TFC rebuild has been going on for a couple years now and its finally looking like a P-39, but it gives some yardstick on how important a static aircraft is to the survivor lists....
