L7390 106 Sqn Wednesday 26 Mar 1942 Coded ZN-? on a operation to Essen
Take Off 20:00 Conningsby. Shot down by a night fighter (Oblt. Ludwig Becker 6./NJG2) and crashed at
22:28 through the ice of the IJsselmeer off Konswerderzand and west of Malthum Holland.
The body of the pilot F/L Dunlop-Mackenzie was washed ashore at Harlingen on 7th May 1942, where he
buried. His crew are commemorated on the Runnymede Memorial. This was the first Manchester loss for 106
Sqn.

Take off 22:50 Scampton. Shot down by a night fighter (Oblt. Ludwig Becker 6./NJG2) and crashed 03:24 in the
IJseelmeer. 3 km east north east of Enkhuizen Holland, while homebound. Three bodies, those of the pilots and the
tailgunner were washed ashore and are buried in Bergen General Cemetary.
The rest of the crew have no no known graves.
P/O Frosts DFM had been gazetted on 11 Feb 1941, for Sercice with 144 Sqn

Note the Canadian records list Harris as a Pilot, the Bomber Command Losses as Livingstone.. I do not know which is correct
