It's still a ways from flying, but it is slowly coming together. It's starting to resemble a real warplane again. The bow, tail and blister turrets are now mounted. The top turrets have not been mounted because it's alot easier to move through the airplane without them.

Alot of work was put into "cleaning up" the engine/cowling installations. The fire bombers aren't known for making pretty conversions. At one point, all four engines were mounted. However, one engine had to be borrowed to get the museum's B-25 back in the air.

Alot of fabrication work has been taking place on the interior, building new radio racks, putting the flight deck back together, etc. Several new volunteers with prior aircraft electrical skills have boosted the efforts to fabricate new wiring for the entire plane.

Rest assured, the project is NOT on hold. It's just a BIG project. On the contrary, it's making good progress these days.
