During the recent Air Force Historical conference, there was a reception at the CAM, and a presentation on the new museum.

The eventual plan is that the storage facility will be connected to the museum by a tunnel running under the taxiway. This is part of further expansion at an uspecificed future date. In the meantime, the storage facility should be accesible to the public by escorted tour.

The implication is that most, if not all, of the aircraft in the storage area of the main museum building would move across to the storage facility, freeing up that floor space for display. The aircraft currently rotting outdoors would be brought inside too.
