Hi as posted earlier today I was recently in New Zealand and spoke of finding a "Spartan' in a museum in Geraldine NZ. Well it wasn't a Spartan , I checked my notes and it is the last surviving Simmons Spartan of 49 built in the UK in 1929 and is on display in a complete but rough state. It is thus a very rare aircraft just not a Spartan- it would be nice if someone bought it and restored it.
