I visited the farm in summer '02. Mr Soplata was alive and kicking, and gave me a wonderful tour of his airplanes.
He was vehemently against having any of his airplanes being flown again, and was thus very resistant to selling them off.
Only a few have left in the last 5 or 10 years -- the F2G Corsair, the F-82, and a couple others. There are still MANY, MANY airplanes there that will become great rebuilds someday.
He did relay to me that when he dies, one of the tenets of his will is to have the entire collection sold off with th profits going to support his children.
