I'm curious as well. I know there are quite a few F-4 phantoms on the civil registry (or were) that were being converted to drones. I was wondering if this was something similar but it doesn't sound like it.
I'm curious if these airframes will be for sale at some point in the future and wiether they will be sold intact.
