In 1997 I visited Disney world in florida and they had a P38 fuselage and stubs of the wings that had been cut up to make some sort of Batmobile looking mess - A real shame - I don't know what it was used for or if it's still there but it was a real travisty.

No it wasn't the same parts that were at universal studios - equally stupid but not the same. There were some other parts at Disney too but I will have to find the photos to see what they were. Over the years the movie industry has had a lot to answer for in this regard but I suppose you can also assert that they saved a lot of aircraft too - Is the glass half empty or full ?

Kindest regards
