Sure there are other places you can sell stuff, but sometimes Ebay is pretty good for the seller. Maybe they figured that folks who'd never browse through an online aircraft sales list such as Barnstormers or some other place would see it on Ebay. And sometimes you can get good deals there. The flight school I'm training with just got a good deal on a new (to us) Piper Tomahawk.
