I noticed this with some concern too and have already sent out some emails to those in the trade to check their sources of the material. As JDK quite rightly points out IL IS the ORIGINAL material. I remember speaking to Clive Denney at Vintage Fabrics some years ago and he was a devoted promoter of original materials UNLESS a customer specifically requested ceconite.
As an interesting aside I wonder what the true definition is of Irish Linen - if it ain't made in Ireland for example is it Irish Linen. I'm checking on the trade marks and stuff and if I find out any more I will report further either here or in my AM column (shameful plug).
