I doubt that Irish Linen is used much in the US except for a very few antiques. Modern heat shrinkable covering systems are so much easier to use, much lighter, and so much more durable. They also don't continue to shrink over time, crushing internal structure.

Was the Irish Linen produced at this factory aircraft specification material, or just bedsheet quality?
